Terms and conditions

These sessions are not suitable for children under the age of 3.

As what we offer are unique hands on workshops – not shows, we do have a maximum number of participants in one session.  This is to ensure the session is beneficial to all taking part and for the welfare of the animals.
A school or nursery workshop is for one class at a time and is for a minimum of 45 minutes, or 30 minutes for Foundation stage.

A private party can cater for up to one class size also, although we recommend small groups of up to 15.

Other sessions are generally 25-30 children per one hour workshop.

The maximum amount of sessions in one full day is 6.

In the unlikely event that the presenter is late for the event, he/she will contact the client as soon as it is safe and legal to do so. 
If for that reason the event can not go ahead, then another date will be arranged.

Animals

The Wild Roadshow reserves the right to withdraw any animal from the session, either due to illness or death or where the presenter feels the animals, or children’s, welfare may be at risk.

Venue

All events must be carried out indoors.  In most cases, the presenter will need access to a plug socket for a low wattage heat mat.
We find that the children are best seated on chairs or benches, rather than on the floor, and in a semi circle to optimise the children’s view.

As the workshops are for small groups, there is no need for the use of microphones.

To comply with health and safety guidelines, there must be hand washing facilities at the venue and it is the staffs/parents responsibility to ensure the children do so at the end of the session.

Payment

Payment is to be made on the day of the visit.  If for whatever reason it can not be made on the day, please let us know prior to the visit.

Payment can be made via cash, cheque or BACS transfer.

A non-refundable deposit of £20 is required shortly after booking of a private party.

Cancellation

We ask for at least 30 days notice for cancelling an event.  Cancellation of a private party within 7 days of the booking will result in a 50% charge.
Cancellation of a private party within 24 hours of the booking will result in a 100% charge, unless there are extenuating circumstances as to why the event can not go ahead.
